The area of Integrated Circuits and Systems deals with integrated realization of complex functions on small chips. The interests of faculty in this area span topics such as: embedded software and hardware/software co-design; design synthesis; physical design; analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion; automotive electronics; biosystems; consumer electronics; instrumentation; medical systems; signal processin; and wireless communications.

Overview

Research areas of Communications & Networking involve understanding and applying fundamental networking issues on fixed or mobile devices and propagation aspects of optical waves in optical communication system applications. Research includes investigating propagation aspects of optical waves in atmospheric, satellite and underwater links and also investigation and improvement of protocols used in computer Networks for improving the system performance.

Electromagnetics

Overview

 

Research area in electromagnetics covers a variety of topics such as electromagnetic theory, antennas, microwave and rf circuits,  theoretical and numerical techniques for analysis of high-frequency circuits and antennas, application of mathematical models on electromagnetic problems.
